The agreement, in plain sentences.
Downloading the app, making an account or buying an avatar means agreeing to what is on this page. It is written to be read: what you may do with a character, what happens when the servers are unreachable, and what we are and are not on the hook for.

Stream with it, get paid for it
An avatar you buy or generate can be used on monetised streams, uploads, thumbnails and clips, commercial or not. What you may not do is resell the files themselves.
Offline never costs you an avatar
Ownership is checked when the app can reach our servers, and simply not enforced when it cannot. Art you made yourself is never checked at all.
Credits are prepaid, not a deposit
AI Create runs on credits bought in advance and spent as images are drawn. A spent credit is not refundable, and neither is an image you did not like.
Who this agreement is with
GetGuise is run by an individual sole operator based in the Philippines. These terms are an agreement between you and that operator, referred to below as we and us. The app means GuiseApp, the Windows program downloaded from this site, and the service means the app, this website, and the account, catalogue and generation services behind them.
You accept these terms by downloading the app, creating an account or buying anything from us. If you do not accept them, do not do those things. How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.
Who may use GetGuise
You must be at least 13, and at least the age your country sets for agreeing to a contract of this kind on your own. If you are under 18, use GetGuise only with a parent or guardian's permission — they are agreeing to these terms alongside you. You must also not be barred from using the service under the laws that apply to you.
Your account
An account is for one person. Give an email address you actually control, because it is the only proof of ownership there is: sign-in codes go to it, and purchases made before you had an account are matched to it.
Do not share your sign-in codes, and do not let anyone else use your account. Anything done through it is treated as done by you. If you think someone else has got in, tell us at support@getguise.com.
The app itself
The app is licensed, not sold. You get a personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to install and run it on machines you use, for as long as you keep to these terms.
- Do not sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app itself.
- Do not reverse engineer, decompile or modify it, except where the law says you may do so regardless of what a licence claims.
- Do not remove or hide notices in it, and do not work around the checks that decide what an account owns.
What you may do with an avatar
Buying an avatar buys a licence to perform as it. That licence is perpetual for the avatar you bought, worldwide, non-exclusive, and it covers the commercial use the product is obviously for:
- Live streams, recorded video, shorts and clips, on any platform, on a monetised channel or not.
- Thumbnails, channel art, overlays, emotes, social posts and promotional images for your own channel.
- Sponsored content and brand deals where you are the performer.
What the licence does not cover:
- Reselling, gifting, redistributing or sublicensing the avatar files, in whole or in part, including as part of a pack, asset library or template.
- Presenting the artwork as your own creation, or registering it — or a character based on it — as a trademark.
- Merchandise where the avatar art itself is the product being sold, unless we agree to it in writing.
- Using the files as training data for a model, or to generate derivative artwork for sale.
The avatars bundled with the app carry the same licence. Art you made, were given, or brought in from elsewhere is not ours and nothing here applies to it.
AI Create, credits and what you generate
AI Create draws characters from descriptions you type, paid for in credits. Credits are bought in advance, spent when an image is generated, and have no cash value. A spent credit is not refundable, including when the result is not what you pictured — generation is probabilistic and no particular outcome is promised.
You are responsible for what you type. Do not describe real people without their permission, do not describe sexual content involving minors, and do not try to reproduce someone else's copyrighted or trademarked character. Requests may be refused or removed where they break these rules or the rules of the provider drawing the image.
As between you and us, characters you generate are yours to use on the same terms as section 5, and we make no claim to them beyond storing your backup copy. We cannot promise that a generated character is unique: another description may produce something similar, and nothing about generated art is guaranteed to be registrable or protectable.
Paying, renewing and refunds
Payment is taken by Gumroad or Lemon Squeezy, whose own terms apply to the transaction. Prices are shown at checkout and include or exclude tax according to what those processors calculate for your location.
A subscription plan renews automatically at the interval shown until you cancel it. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves the current period running to its end; it does not refund the period you are in.
Digital goods are delivered immediately, so purchases are generally final. If something is broken, was charged twice, or was never delivered, write to support@getguise.com within 14 days and we will put it right — by fixing it, replacing it, or refunding it. Statutory refund rights where you live apply on top of this and are not affected by it.
Availability, updates and going offline
The service is provided as it is, without any uptime guarantee. Servers go down, providers have outages, and features change. We may add, alter or withdraw parts of the service, and we will not remove something you paid for without offering a fair alternative or a refund.
The app checks the update feed, the catalogue and your entitlements when it launches, and every one of those can fail without stopping you. An entitlement list that cannot be refreshed still lists what it listed before: being unable to ask is not evidence of not owning. Updates are offered, never installed mid-stream.
How you may not use it
- Do not use the service to break the law, or to harass, defame or impersonate anyone.
- Do not impersonate a real person with an avatar, or present yourself as GetGuise or as endorsed by us.
- Do not attempt to reach accounts, data or entitlements that are not yours, or to defeat rate limits, sign-in codes or ownership checks.
- Do not scrape, hammer or overload the site, catalogue or generation services.
- Do not resell access to your account, your credits or your entitlements.
Who owns what
The app, this website, the GetGuise name and logo, and the artwork we publish remain ours or our licensors'. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of any of it — section 5 grants a licence to use an avatar, which is a different thing from owning the art.
Your streams, recordings, and the characters you generate are yours. To store your backup copy and show your library back to you, you give us a limited licence to hold and process those files for that purpose, and no other.
Suspension and ending the agreement
You can stop at any time: uninstall the app, or ask us to delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy. Deleting the account ends access to purchases restorable through it.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, particularly section 9, or where we are required to. Where the breach can be fixed we will say what it is first. Sections 10, 12, 13 and 15 survive the agreement ending.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will run on every machine, that face tracking will work in every lighting condition, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error free.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost viewers, lost revenue, lost data, or a stream that did not go out. Our total liability for any claim connected to the service is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limits, in which case they apply only as far as that jurisdiction permits.
Changes to these terms
These terms can change. The date at the top changes with them, and a material change is announced on the site, and by email where we have an address for you. Continuing to use the service after a change means accepting the new version; if you do not, stop using it and ask us to close the account.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and the courts of the Philippines have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer elsewhere, this does not take away the protection of mandatory consumer law where you live, or your right to bring a claim in your local courts where that law says you may.
Before that, write to us. Nearly everything is a misunderstanding that an email fixes faster than anyone's courts.
